Academy privacy notice
You can read every lesson without telling us anything. You only need to register to save your progress across devices, take a quiz and receive a certificate. This notice covers what the academy stores when you do. It adds to the Humanz privacy policy, which also applies.
What we store
- Your name, email address and country, as you enter them.
- Which lessons you have read, and each quiz attempt: the answers, the score and the date.
- Your certificate: its ID, level, score and issue date.
- Whether you agreed to the academy terms, and whether you opted in to marketing emails.
Why
We use this to run the academy: to save your progress, score your quizzes, and issue and verify your certificate. Your country decides which local content you see. We also use completion data, in aggregate, to improve the course. We only send you marketing emails if you opted in.
Who can see it
Humanz staff who run the academy. Your registration and results are also stored in our customer relationship system, HubSpot, so we can send your certificate. Anyone with your certificate link can see your name, level, score and issue date. That is how verification works. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Certificates stay verifiable for five years from issue, then we delete them.
- Registrations with no quiz passed are deleted after 24 months without activity.
- Individual quiz answers are deleted after 24 months. We keep only the score.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including your certificate, at any time. Write to info@humanz.ai. In South Africa this is covered by POPIA, and in the EU and UK by the GDPR.
Cookies
The academy saves your progress in your browser's local storage. Analytics and other optional cookies only run if you accept them in the cookie banner.
