News, politics and current affairs
A political educator who breaks budget speeches, elections and public policy down into short videos for young South Africans, and hosts the “Jaxx of All Trades” podcast.
Amahle-Imvelo Jaxa, or simply Jaxx, is a South African digital creator, social activist, political educator and media personality whose voice has become one of the most influential among young audiences in 2025. What started as social commentary on TikTok quickly evolved into a mission to simplify news, current affairs and complex topics so that young people can stay informed and engaged with the world around them. Her signature greeting, “Howzit”, is a clear indicator that your favourite show is on.
Jaxx’s content stands out because of her educational background in politics, philosophy and economics, which she uses to break down issues like budget speeches, elections and public policy into relatable, digestible videos suited to a generation accustomed to short-form storytelling. This has led to Jaxx partnering with meaningful brands like Dove, highlighting that Jaxx’s impact isn’t just informational but inspirational. She openly shares life stories, including personal experiences with self-image and vulnerability, that connect with her audience on a human level, which made her self-love journey resonate deeply with women across the country.
Despite pivoting from being a co-founder and driving force behind Until Until Events, a youth-driven marketing and events company that curated major cultural experiences in Johannesburg and beyond, she has found a space in which she thrives, as our single source of social and political truth.
In 2025, Jaxx expanded her brand with the launch of the “Jaxx of All Trades” podcast, a visual and conversational platform where she dives deeper into current affairs, politics, sports and culture alongside guest voices, including prominent South African creators and artists. Today, Amahle continues to grow as a trusted voice for South African youth, making current affairs accessible, engaging and empowering.
